Back in November 2022, we published a cross reference article on our old site to an article by Sam Smith that detailed some of the problems from a set of false allegations of rape.
Today, Smith has published an update to the ongoing saga which would indicate that the festival 2000 Trees has settled the claim made against them and paid substantial damages to the claimant [whom Smith was assisting pro-bono].
Two other respondents to the claim appear to have stuck their heads in the sand hoping that their furthering of the false allegations will somehow go away. As Smith indicates they are very foolish to think so.
